Ted Spaeni

Spaeni, Ted MCFARLAND - Ted Spaeni, age 62, passed away on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at the HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. He was born on Oct. 10, 1943, in Madison, a son of Eleanor and John H. Spaeni. Ted worked as a builder and glazier. He owned and operated Spartan Glass and Construction. Ted was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed golfing and creating stained glass. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor (LeRoy) Knight; best friend and soulmate, Carol Peters; two sons, Jeffrey Spaeni of Duluth, Minn., and Gregory Spaeni (fiancee, Vickie) of Windsor; a grandchild, Ayden Spaeni; step-daughters, Kimberly (Larry) Lawry and Tracy (Michael) Persinger; five step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Darlene (Albert) Frazier, John (Nancy) Spaeni, Sandra (Clint) Vandall and Timothy (Diana) Spaeni; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ted was preceded in death by his father. A memorial visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006. A celebration of Teds life will be held at AMERICAN LEGION POST NO. 534, 4911 Burma Road, McFarland, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
