Geraldean Gennrich

Gennrich, Geraldean DEERFIELD - Geraldean "Geri" "Sis" Gennrich, age 63, died peacefully at her home in Deerfield, on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Geraldean Ellen Gauger in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 15, 1943, she was the first of three children of Gerald and Deane Gauger. Geri lived with her family and grew up in Marshfield, where she graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1961. After high school, she moved to Madison. Geri soon began a 30 year career at Oscar Mayer that culminated with her retirement in 1999. In 1977, she met and married G. Robert "Bob" Gennrich. Geri was an avid bowler, gardener, and quilter, and was active in the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved to cook and to travel. Geris family had ties to the Hayward area going back several generations and she loved to spend time "up north." Geri is survived by her husband, Bob; her son, Scott Gennrich of Stoughton; step-daughter, Lynn Gennrich of Ham Lake, Minn.; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Randy Gauger of Spencer, and Raymond Gauger of Arab, Ala. Funeral services will be held at IMMANUEL EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 138 County Road BB, Marshall, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with prayers and sharing memories at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006.
