Gerald Hocutt

Hocutt, Gerald MADISON - Gerald Hocutt passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006. He was born to Price D. Hocutt and Mabel I. (Johnson) Hocutt on Sept. 29, 1939, in Madison. Gerald graduated from East High School and the University of Wisconsin Madison with BBA and MBA degrees. He taught in Sweden, Chicago, UW Marquette and Milwaukee. He was a devoted long time member of Luther Memorial Church in Madison, serving as a communion server and usher. He spent many hours listening to classical music, spending time at various UW libraries and frequented State Street establishments. Gerald is survived by cousins, Donna Jean, Elaine, Robert, Donald, Ruth, Harold, Maurice, Marlene, Margie and Judy; special friend, Nell Bennett; and fellow usher William Bopf. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at LUTHER MEMORIAL CHURCH, 1021 University Avenue, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, with Pastor Laura Sutherland presiding. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park following the service.
