Chad Cox

OREGON - Chad Cox, age 51, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Born on December 2, 1974, Chad was the son of the late Donald J. Cox Jr. and Sandra M. Baumel. A 1993 graduate of Oregon High School, Chad furthered his education by earning an associate degree. He was an owner and operator in the construction industry, a career he took great pride in.

Chad was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed bonfires and cutting wood, and always looked forward to time spent with his pet dogs. But above all, he was a very proud father; his children were his pride and joy.

Chad is survived by his wife, Katie Drea; his daughters, Ella Ruth (Finnley) Cox and Harlee Brooklyn Cox; his step-children, Sabrina and Clarence; his mother, Sandra (Robert) Baumel; his brother, Brett Cox; nieces, Macie and Madeline Cox; and step-siblings, Vince (Angi) Baumel and Jessica (Terry) Braun. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Cox Jr., and his grandparents, Eugene and Ruth Smith, and Donald and Sadie Cox Sr.

A Celebration of Chad’s life will be held at a later date.
