Audrey A. Parrell

BLACK EARTH - Audrey Parrell, age 68, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. She was born on June 30, 1958, the daughter of Daniel Nolden and Mary Ellen Keller.

Audrey was born and raised in Lodi, WI. Family was always of utmost importance to her. First with her seven sisters and six brothers growing up. On September 6, 1986, she married Wayne Parrell and added many more in-laws and then two children. She was loyal, generous, a good listener, and a great wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend. She was self-described as a “tough old broad” as she courageously, graciously, and mightily battled cancer the last five and half years. Audrey loved crafting and was excellent with house-plants. She enjoyed quilting with her sisters and sisters-in-law, treasured traveling to South Dakota to visit her grandchildren, and found joy in Sunday drives in her Mustang convertible. All of this in the midst of 40 years working for Humana Insurance, before retiring in 2018. Though being Grandma was her favorite job.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Wayne Parrell; son, Dennis Parrell; daughter, Kelly (Cody) Hanssen; grandchildren, Elli, Everett and Juniper; brothers, Paul (Roberta) Nolden, Larry (Janeen) Nolden, Mark (Monica) Nolden, Duane (Denise) Nolden, Jerome (Amy) Nolden and Dale (Becky) Nolden; sisters, Janice (Vaughn) Watzke, Barbara (Sheldon) Zander, Donna (Joe) Parrell, Sharon (Ron) Hollfelder, Maureen (Todd) Duquette and Nadine (Paul) Vind; brothers-in-law, Bob (Donna) Parrell, John (Janet) Parrell, Rob Berge, Mike (Jenni) Parrell, Marty (Janet Jo) Parrell and Brian (Lisa) Parrell; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Jim) Haack, Donna (Carl) Ketelboeter, Pat (Mark) Parrell-Sonnenberg and Carol (Gary) Hollfelder; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Nolden; mother, Mary Ellen (Keller) Nolden; sister, Carol Kessenich; father-in-law, Martin Parrell; mother-in-law, Mary (Brunner) Parrell; and siblings-in-law, Beth Berge, Mark Parrell and Bonnie Parrell.

A memorial service will be held at THE GROVE, 314 Anne St., Mazomanie, WI at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with a luncheon to follow. A visitation will be held at The Grove, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
