Obituary
MONONA/SUN PRAIRIE-William David "Spacebound" Burdick, III, age 35, of Sun Prairie and formerly Monona, passed away from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016. He was born on Oct. 27, 1981, in Janesville, the son of David and Debora (Miedema) Burdick. Billy graduated from Monona Grove High School in 2000. Though Billy worked several jobs, he found his true passion in photography. Many of his works have been displayed and sold with the signature "Spacebound". Madison was home to Billy. He was a huge sports fan, and loved all kids and dogs. Billy is survived by his parents; sisters, Danielle (Jason) Hawkins and Darcy Burdick; grandmother, Jacquelyn Burdick; nieces, Kaitlynn and Raegan Hawkins; nephew, Shawn Burdick-Oren; aunts and uncles, Sue (John) Burdick-Evenson, Cindy (Gus) Brakmanis, Beth (Dave) Norris, Richard (Pat) Ranft and Michael (Linda) Miedema; and numerous cousins and good friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Burdick Jr.; and maternal grandparents, William and Carol Miedema. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016. In honor of Billy, we invite family and friends to wear their favorite sports apparel and to bring their camera, pictures and stories to share. The time that we knew eachother was brief, but I immediately felt like I have known you for years. You were funny, and very kind and gave me good advice on photography. We were planning on meeting up for some photoshoots, but sadly we never followed through due to our busy schedules. I'll always remember you sending me the photo of your meteorite necklace that you had. You teased me because you knew I wanted to wear it. I will miss your daily photos and our silly conversations. You were a good friend and I miss you so much. I hope we can meet again someday.

I was so impressed with Billy's passion for photography! He brought so much to others on fb who couldn't get where he went and who didn't have the abilities. I love fb for this reason, I also got to share his love for photography when we didn't get to see each other in person. Deb and family I have no idea what to tell you other than I love you and so sorry that you have to go through this. You had a wonderful son and he will be missed but he will be forever in our hearts.
