Obituary
MADISON-Virginia Ida "Ginger" Pergande, age 50, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Oct. 9, 1965, in Madison, the daughter of Janeen and Skip Pergande. Ginger graduated from LaFollette High School in 1983. During high school she worked at Copps in Monona until it closed. For the next 30 plus years she worked at Kohl's South Towne until her passing. Ginger cherished the many friendships she formed, which served as her life line in her everyday life. She also shared a special kinship throughout the years with her many canine companions. Ginger is survived by her parents, Janeen and Skip of Hazelhurst; devoted brother, Dale of Madison; aunt, Kathy (Ron) Siewert of Madison; nieces, Erica and Abbie; beloved dogs, Scooby and Elvis; and many wonderful friends and coworkers. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and uncle, Terry Pergande. A Celebration of Ginger's Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society. Ginger truly was the "V.I.P." to her family and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
