Obituary
MADISON - Robert M. Beaudette Sr., age 73, passed to glory on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023. On Aug. 29, 1949, he was born to Robert R. and Frances Beaudette. Robert grew up in the Green Bush area and east side of Madison. He went to Madison East High school and was a sergeant in the U.S. Army for three years. Robert celebrated 54 years of marriage with Linda (Keller) Beaudette. Bob and Linda were blessed with two amazing sons, Robert Jr. (Laura) and William. They inspired Bob to keep going, don't give up with love unlimited.
Bob had many interests. He was a drummer (local kid's bands) and later became a member of Vertical Vision, a Christian-rock band that ministered to prisoners in Oregon and Portage, Wis. He coached little league baseball and football and was an Awana leader. He loved golfing, fishing, music, cars and motorcycles, dogs, the Packers, Brewers and was a member of the Lake City Riders Motorcycle Club and member of City Church. He was a radio announcer in Petoskey, Mich., and at WFAW in Fort Atkinson, Wis. He drove semi for the Madison Metro Sewerage District in Madison.
Of all his accomplishments in life, his sons and three grandchildren made him most proud. Christian Roe-Beaudette, and Caleb and Leah Beaudette brought smiles and joy to his life. Family was of great importance. Bob gave his heart to Jesus Christ in 1978. This was an unfailing love and commitment that he held dearly and was a great witness to others throughout his life.
Bob is survived by his wife, two sons and three grandchildren; his brother, Richard (Cindy); and sister, Roberta (Orville) Homburg. He was the most popular in-law in the family. His father-in-law, William Keller regarded him as his son. His sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and John Ruck, were very close and had great times of laughter and fun since he was 15 years old. Laura was his special daughter-in-law. He was an attentive uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Harry McFarland; his parents; grandparents, Joseph and Sebestiana Montalto; and his in-law family, Sharen Smedegard, William and Kriss Keller.
Bob's legacy was that his love for his creator and savior never diminished. He could be compared to Job in the Bible. He is now safe, strong, healthy and secure in the arms of Jesus forever. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
