Rusty will be deeply missed by his friends and family. I was proud to call him my friend since elementary school. We enjoyed many great times together. He was a friend in the purest sense. Despite not having the advantages in life that most of us take for granted, in his eyes he was luckiest person in the world. No body accomplished more with less and touched countless people in a such a profound way than Rusty. I know I learned so much from him. Rusty was a true, quality human being. After high school we saw each other only a couple times, at reunions, but Rusty made it seem like it was just yesterday that we talked. Gracious is an understatement for how I perceived him, and all of the tributes here and on social media prove out the fact that Rusty was the best of the best of us. RIP Rusty. It will take all of us to carry on your legacy.
