Obituary
COTTAGE GROVE - Lynn Marie Hugill, age 57, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 in the peacefulness of her home after a hard fought battle with stage 4 esophageal cancer.
Lynn came into this world like a firework on February 8, 1963, in St. Paul, MN, to loving and doting parents Anthony “Tony” and Laura Boda. She kept that vivacious and unique spark her entire life and was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Lynn graduated from Wittenburg High School in Wittenburg, WI and obtained her associate’s degree later in her adult life. She gave birth to her baby girl Allison on October 14, 1986 and married the love of her life, Gregg, on August 10, 1996.
Lynn worked as an Office Manager for Just in Time Refrigeration, LLC in Monona, WI, where she ran a tight and loving ship. She also ran Seniors Helping Seniors, an in-home senior care and companionship franchise company, in the Dane County area. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a staple in the community.
Lynn was fun-loving and enjoyed spending quality time with her many friends and family, hosting parties and get-togethers, working out with her fellow “gym rats”, working with her JIT buddies and feeding the ‘chucks. She showed love and compassion to everyone around her through selfless giving and her exceptional cooking and baking. She was an animal lover and adopted an array of furry misfits and sweet souls. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she was an avid Badgers, Brewers and Packers fan (the Bears still suck) and enjoyed many tailgates and sporting games.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Gregg Hugill; daughter, Allison Landy; son-in-law, Jesse Landy; brother, Dave Boda; brother, John Boda; sister-in-law, Shelley Boda; sister-in-law, Debbie Boda; and many family and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Laura Boda.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held. The public may visit the family drive-through style from the comfort and safety of their vehicles at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iowa County Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter, at https://ichs.net/help-ichs/donations/.

I am so sad to hear of Lynns passing. She always has a big smile on her face. She has been a part of my Badger Barter network for many years. I will miss her very much!

Courage. Strength. Intelligence. Beauty. All wrapped up with the goofy grin. You were an inspiration and an effervescent presence. You never met a stranger. You rescued me from a locked room, wearing a barbers cape and yielding a screwdriver. You left this world too soon, but you left it a better place. You made good use of your dash. I will miss you

Too many years to count all the memories since Lynn, Gregg and Allison moved to Cottage Grove. Missing Lynn's special spirit, her wonderful sense of humor, and her good cooking - never knew when something would be delivered to the house. But most of all, just not seeing her in our daily lives will be the hardest. Our sympathy to her family at this very difficult time. Karl and Cheryl Korth
