My sympathies to Douglas and the whole family. I was in the orchestra with you at East High and played violin. You were always so kind and gave me a beautiful pewter violin pin when I graduated. My last name was Johnson. Please know I read your wonderful mother’s obituary and wanted you to know that I have not forgotten you and your outstanding family. Dawn Bobo I still wear my pin.

My sympathy to all family members. What a nice obituary and a lovely picture. I have known Barb for many years, primarily through Madison Opera. Rosemary Johnson, Barb and myself celebrated our birthdays together for many years as we were all born in September. She will be missed. She sure went through a lot in her life with her diabetes. But, she always had a smile on her face and was ready to do whatever she could to have some fun and be with people. Memories of her will be cherished. I plan to make a donation in her name to Madison Opera. Elaine Staley
