Every fall I would stop at the store and pick up hand warmers for the homeless for the coming winter. Scott always donated those to the cause. I didn't see him often but when I did it was always a pleasure.

Speaking of having a great sense of humor: I remember one Halloween when I went up to their door (neighbors) and I had the snott scared out of me. Well...there was a full size scarecrow in the front porch sitting on a bale of hay. I thought it was a fake and thought nothing of it. Next thing I know while walking away Scott "scarecrow" places a hand on my shoulder and about makes me piss myself. He was always so inviting when I would come over to their home. It has been many years since my family has seen anyone from the old neighborhood. But all the neighbors on that court were very close and will miss him greatly. Sherri, Shane, Shawna, and Skyler please know you all our in our thoughts and we are here if you need anything. There's nothing like having friends and family to help get through a rough day. -Caelan

- A truly inspirational man with a huge heart & always optimistic, positive with natural integrity in everything he did. Scott was a hard working young man with a great flare for life! In the 80's we had fun in florida, then he became my cousin and I was fortunate to have such a honorable family member. Scott would help people always, creating a business that served the customers with real heartfelt help, not based on sales amounts only, like other businesses! We all knew his hardware store was filled with smart employees providing the best information/help possible - he was way to young to go & unfortunately the song, "only the good die young" was applicable to this great man's legacy- we miss u scott -I love you all. I enjoy Christmas; The spirit, the music, the lights. Until we had kids, my hubby was a bit of a humbug about Christmas. Our first Christmas in our new home(married just over a year) he didn't decorate outside at all. I came home from work one snowy night and I nearly drove past my own house. My whole house was twinkling with white Christmas lights and it looked so beautiful that I cried with joy. Scott and Sherry had snuck away from the store during the day and decorated for me so I'd have the perfect first Christmas in our house. It's a kindness I'll never forget and a story I tell often.
