Julius Williams Jr.

MADISON-Julius Williams, Jr, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Willows in Sun Prairie.  He was born on April 11, 1945 in Birmingham, AL., the son of Julius and Louise (Talley) Williams.  Julius was united in marriage to Patricia Rydz on September 8, 1984.  Julius approached life with a positive spirit although faced with many health problems.  He cherished gatherings with family and friends, who knew him as kind and loving.  Throughout his life he found much pleasure and meaning in music.  It was certainly a very joyful part of his life.  He felt fortunate to have numerous opportunities to travel the world, often in the company of multiple family members.  Julius also found great satisfaction in working to put his artistic creations onto paper.  He was a talented artist and has left behind many cherished works. Family and friends were amazed, in particular, with his ability to create portraiture. Those who knew him well enjoyed his excellent sense of humor and witty observations.  He will be greatly missed. Julius is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia; two daughters Sylvia Guyden and Precious Frith; five grandchildren, Ashlee, Anthony, Tayleana, Turquoise and Angel; four great-grandchildren; a brother Ernest Williams and an aunt Stella Williams.  He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Talley Williams, his father Julius Williams, Sr., and brothers James Williams, Laverne Williams and Bernard Talley.  A Memorial Gathering will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 4 PM until 7 PM with a time of remembrance at 6 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin, 517 N.
