Renee E Williams

MADISON-Renee Elaine Williams (neé Grant), age 71, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Aug. 26, 1945, at Madison General Hospital, the daughter of William and Olive (Harris) Grant. Renee was a graduate of Monona Grove High School. She married Phillip Williams on Oct. 21, 1967, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Madison. She worked most of her life as a caregiver and homemaker. Renee is survived by her husband, Phil; son, Troy Williams; daughters, Monica Williams (Armondo) and Laura Williams; grandchildren, Tessa Williams, Britney, Logan, Mikayla, Alyssa and Derek Williams, and Tristan and Breanna Williams; brothers, Jim, Dale and Larry Grant; sisters, Marilyn Brimmer and Judy Reimer; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Grant; and sister, Sheri Grant. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 12 noon on Friday, May 19, 2017. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Refreshments will follow the service at MADISON LABOR TEMPLE, 1602 S. Park St., Rm. 109, Madison.
