My sincerest sympathies to the DePrey family. My father, Tom Hartman, was also a "Jewel Tea Man" for many years and I was fortunate to meet Dick at many of the Jewel meetings held in Madison as I would attend them with my father. I believe I may have even run Dick's route one summer when I was running the routes during summer break from the UW. I fondly remember Dick's name being mentioned often in our home as my mom and dad discussed various ideas that had been brought up at meetings and how Dick, Gordy, Lou or other Jewel men were running their routes and what was working (or not working) for them. My father and mother had a great deal of respect, and affection, for Dick.
