The Rolling Family, my heart goes out to you! I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather. Don was a great guy and I heard many stories about the camping trips they used to take with the MacMillers and my parents, the Mader's. I hope you have many wonderful memories to help you through this difficult time. Love to you all! Karen Mader Thompson

Some of my favorite memories are from the summer visits we made from St. Paul to Madison to stay Uncle Don. He would work all night and still seemed to be able to enjoy the day with the troop of kids and his brothers and sisters. He loved being with his family, and always opened his home to us all. (In fact, I still can't look at a great big silver bus camper without smiling and thinking of him and those fun days). I think we all carry his value of family into our own families. I trust he's resting now, welcomed into our Heavenly Father's house himself. When we get there hell probably greet us with a smile and a brat. Until then, I'll miss you, Uncle Don. "In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” John 14:2-4

Without any fanfare Don would go out to take care of lawns and driveways for his widowed neighbors in Arkdale. In the Book of James we read: 'True religion is this -- to visit widows and orphans in their distress and to keep one's self unspotted from the world." That pictures Don. It was a great pleasure to have known him. Sandy & Doug Wellumson, former Arkdale neighbors
