Obituary
MIDDLETON-Margery Mary Temple, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 18th. She was born and raised in Dubuque Iowa with seven siblings. From an early age Margery enjoyed being active outdoors, playing games and climbing trees in the family orchard. After graduating from the Visitation Academy in Asbury, Margery took a job as a bookkeeper. She later met her husband Joseph and moved to Monroe where they began their family. Shortly thereafter they moved to Madison, where they built their home and raised their nine children. Margery Temple will best be remembered by her kind eyes, great smile and gentle spirit. Her life was centered around her children whom she cared for with compassion and affection. Her joy in life was being surrounded by her family and relatives. Marge was an incredible artist, although few knew it. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening. Marge and her husband Joe loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Mexico and Europe. The cabin which they built together in the north woods of Wisconsin brought them much joy and relaxation. Marge loved little children and she would light up when her grandchildren would enter a room. She had an incredibly loving heart and the patience of a saint. Margery was quick to catch a joke and loved to laugh. She embraced life and was always cheerful. The Temple family are charter members of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Margery is survived by her children, Terrence (Mari), Craig (Lori Sorg), Joseph (Jan), Gary (Cheryl), Daniel, Karen, Jeffrey (Sherry), Cynthia Temple-Ollerman (Ken), Patricia Frostad (Todd); 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Maryann (John) Hansen; a brother Phillip (Bess) Bahl and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, four brothers and a beloved sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 11 AM on Thursday, July 23, 2015, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave, Middleton from 4 PM until 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 and also on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
