Obituary
Keller, Kay Ann
STOUGHTON/SCHILLER PARK, IL/MT. PROSPECT, IL–Kay Ann Keller, of Stoughton, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015. She was born on Aug. 1, 1945 in Chicago, IL, and grew up in Schiller Park (near O’Hare), the daughter of Raymond and Violet (Fischer) Ratchek. Kay graduated from East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL where she excelled in band (saxophone) and acapella choir. After high school Kay, attended Chicago Teacher’s College and then went to work for several companies until, after a merger, she met Sam Keller at Fidelitone. Due to company policy, Sam was forced to fire her because of their budding relationship, and shortly thereafter in 1984, she married Sam at the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights. Later, Kay was hired as Executive Secretary to John Grayson, Owner and CEO of Rainsoft Water Conditioning. Even after John and Kay both retired, they remained in constant e-mail contact until John recently passed away. Sam and Kay lived in Mt. Prospect, IL until 1998, when Sam accepted a position in Madison, WI. Although Kay did not receive a college degree, she was a talented secretary/executive assistant, human resources manager and telemarketer as well as a designer and architect, designing their last two homes. She especially loved all her dogs through the years- Rowdie, Lady, Winston, Kendall, Jazzminn, Brandy, Gypsy, and Sadie. Kay is survived by her husband, Sam; two sons, John Harold Scully of Wauconda, IL, and George F. Scully Jr. of Mt. Prospect, IL.; step-daughters, Samantha (Tim) Pappageorge of Park Ridge, IL, and Elizabeth Winans of Oak Park, IL; grandchildren, Tommy, Adam, Kyle (John), Christopher, Zech (Samantha) and Allison and Sarah (Elizabeth) and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces; plus her oldest and dearest friend, Terry Yost and her husband Wayne, and her good friends, Millie and Ray Bredberg, and Renee and Craig Netemeyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Raymond Jr., and Harold. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Kay was a beautiful woman inside and out. I have many fond memories of her and am so glad that my Mom had such a great friend in Kay and Sam. I remember your wedding, how cool it was when I saw my first Car Phone in your car, your visits after I had each of my children, and my favorite was when Mom, Kelly, Hayley, Victoria, Jackson and I came for a visit and stayed at your beautiful home. You were both so welcoming and we had an amazing time.
You will never be forgotten! Rest In Peace Kay! Love, Kim Salazar

Aloha Sam, I was so sorry to hear of Kays passing. I am glad she had you in her life. She loved you. She was one energetic lady. I am glad that we took the time about 9 years ago to get together and share so many things. I miss her. There will only be one Kay. Prayers and love to you and your family.
