We'll deeply miss having Tom as the wonderful neighbor he was to us. We know him as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Our deepest sympathies go out to Gail and her children and grandchildren. We pray that the wonderful family memories you have will bring you comfort.

Tom was a friend and neighbor to us, a golf partner with me on many occasions. He was instrumental in getting me back out there and gave me his sage advise on working intelligently around Hawks challenging holes, aways in his signature golf apparel. We will cherish our memories of Tom.
We send our love and prayers to Gail and family at this most difficult time.

Tom will forever be missed by the GHC Board of Directors. Tom was our historian, intelligent professor and expert in cooperative formation, policy and governance. He added tremendous value to our board and always with an open mind and heart. His 37 years of leadership will always be recognized. We will miss him, his wit, kindheartedness, and presence. Peace to you Gail and your daughters (who Tom loved very much). Mary Wright

Tom was a wonderful man that I have great college memories of. He was my college advisor and truly made an impact on my life. He was my NAMA advisor, helped me find internships and guided me to find a career that I love. He will be remembered as a great man who truly made a difference in this world. My deepest sympathies go out to the Schomisch family.

Tom was a man that touched so many UW Madison students. He was not my advisor, but helped me just the same. He alwyas made time for his students. After taking his slaes and advertising classes, I knew I wanted to work in one of those areas in the ag industry. He helped me get my first job and 15 years later I'm still working in markeitng/communications in the Ag Industry. I owe much of this to him in opening up my love of ag communication. Tom will truely be missed by all of his former students as his influence is endless. My thoughts and prayers are with the Schomisch family.
