Obituary
McFarland- Cora Rae Rugland, age 17 of McFarland, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born on Feb.13, 1997 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Kris Rugland and Kristine Hosford. Cora was a senior at McFarland High School. She had a bright future ahead of her and was taken from us far too early. Cora is survived by her mother Kristine (Doug Cooper) Hosford; her father Kris Rugland; her sister Ruby Rugland; maternal grandparents Larry and Dianne Hosford; paternal grandmother Dorothea Rugland; aunt Karyn (Brett) Haydock; uncle Brad Hosford and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Carroll Rugland. Memorial services will be held at MCFARLAND HIGH SCHOOL, 5103 Farwell St., McFarland, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 with Rev. Scott Marrese Wheeler presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society or the McFarland Education Foundation, 5101 Farwell St., McFarland, WI 53558 for a scholarship to be established in Cora's name. Kris , Doug and kris.......she was such a beautiful,soul. I feel blessed to have had the time last feb. to get to know her. Such an infectious personality and a joy to be around. She will be truly missed but will live on in you forever. I love you guys
