I will miss seeing Nancy in the hallways and dining room at Oak Park Place. She was a gem. May she rest in peace. My sincere sympathies to Bill and the family.

John and I are so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. A bright light has gone out far too soon. She was the most amazing and wonderful woman - A mentor, a model, and a hero to me, since we met in 1977 when I came to Madison and worked with her at State of WI-DILHR. Nancy was always so full of optimism and realism, empathetic honesty, and electric energy and unfaltering determination to move things forward for people. We worked together, socialized, and ran together at lunchtime as part of State of WI's innovative (back then!) Wellness Program. She started as a computer programmer and through her hard work and accomplishments she progressed to be IS section chief (I believe?) for WI's Health & Social Services.
There at H&SS, Nancy met Bill Griffin - the true love of her life. What a spectacular couple! - Their love was always shining on their faces They have been been exemplary in how they always took care of each other, in the largest ways through their lives together.
Losing Nancy is heart-breaking. At the same time, she is now at peace. And I see how Nancy and Bill have been well-supported by so many loving family members - near and far, who eased the way when each struggled with health issues. Their family is their legacy. May the good memories you've all shared sustain you. Our thoughts are with you all. Love, from Kathy and John Jorgensen

I just wanted to send my condolences to Bill. He was my bureau's director at the DDB for a few years. My thoughts will be with you.
