GEESLIN, JANE LOUISE
LODI-Jane L. Geeslin, age 79, of Lodi, passed away on Monday, June 02, 2014. She was born on February 8, 1935 in Two Rivers the daughter of George and Beatrice (Zeddies) Flentje. Jane was a graduate of Lodi High School. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Jane loved curling and was an active curler through this past season. She loved knitting and playing piano. “Grandma’s socks” were unique and plentiful for the whole family.
Jane is survived by her son, David (Noel) Weber of Lodi; grandchildren, Hans, Fritz and Liesel Klopp and Hanah and Amos Weber; sisters, Monie Bancroft and Helen Meade; brother’s John and Jake Flentje. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne.
Funeral Services will be held at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 258 Lodi St., Lodi at 11:00 am on Monday, June 9, 2014 with the Reverend Jessica Scholten presiding. Visitation will be held at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main Str., Lodi on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will also be on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church.

I will miss my sweet Aunt Jane so very much. She was always there to comfort everyone as a mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. Aunt Jane was funloving and warmhearted. I loved her sense of humor and the fact that she was still curling, and she loved watching her Wisconsin sport teams wearing all of her team clothing! I will always treasure the time I have been able to spend with her, and wish I had more. She is at peace now with Suzanne and let her sister Helen know by showing her a rainbow this morning. Jane was my sister-in-law , but was more like a sister to me. We would enjoy going to the thrift shop in Lodi and one time I purchased Christmas cards from the shop. The cards were cards that she donated to them. Each year, she would wonder which of her cards she would get from us. When Jane would visit us, she would always make her famous potato salad. Jane shared her recipe for her chocolate sauce with us. I would make it for our local hospital bake sale and call it Grandma Jane's Old Fashioned Chocolate Sauce. We would laugh over this, and it always sold out. Jane enjoyed eating peanuts, and would call to ask what channel the Badgers were on. Jane loved he garden and mowing the lawn. Glad that we are back in Wisconsin and had the chance to spend time with Jane.We would end our phone conversations with "love you". Love you, Jane!!!! Rhoda and Jake. (Or as Jane would say my baby brother).
