Obituary
OREGON-Virginia "Ginny" Nemeckay, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 23, 2011, at her home in Oregon. She was born on Jan. 6, 1926, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Luther) Mager. After graduating from high school, she married Charles Nemeckay on Nov. 28, 1946, in Detroit, Mich. They spent the first years of married life in Michigan, before moving to Wisconsin Rapids in 1956. For the past ten years, they have resided in Oregon. Ginny and Chuck have been married for 64 years. For the past ten years, she has been a loving, compassionate and dedicated care giver to him. She put his needs before hers to insure his comfort and well-being. She was an example of "true love". Ginny was a stay-at-home mother who lovingly raised five children. She enjoyed family celebrations and was the happiest when everyone was together. Whenever possible, she spent all special occasions with her family and thoughtfully remembered everyone with cards, gifts and always a special phone call. Her hobbies included golf, curling, board games, cooking, and reading. One of the saddest days in her life was when her youngest daughter, Betty, passed away on Dec. 2, 2003. It is comforting to know that they will now be together for eternity in Gods loving care. In addition to her daughter, Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands parents; and her sister, Betty Kosmal. Ginny is survived by her husband, Chuck of Oregon; two sons, Chuck (Gail) of Oregon and Tom (Sue) of Milwaukee; daughters, Terry (Paul) Larson of Stoughton and Ginger (Tom) Sturdivant of Sherwood; grandchildren, Chuck (Natalie) Nemeckay, Katie (Pete) Schelitzche, Heidi Verdecanna, Ashley, Shauna, Lindsey and Tommy Sturdivant; great-grandchildren, Janett Nemeckay; twins, Jaclyn and Nicholas Schelitzche; twins, Lacy and Summer Nemeckay; Antonio Verdecanna and Taylor Coates.
