Obituary

STOUGHTON / COTTAGE GROVE - Colin P. Borchers, age 36, of Stoughton/Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 3, 2026.


He found great passion in fishing, art, and playing music with various types of instruments.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.  


Colin is survived by his loving mother, Kathy Wollschlager; his father, Pat (Patty) Borchers; brother, Andrew (Ashlee) Borchers; niece, Kiley Borchers; step-brothers, Tony (Esther) Hammes and Sean (Faith) Hammes; step-nephew, Dru Hammes; beloved aunts and uncles, Carole (John Alford) Reynolds, Julie Ellingson, Pam Burn and Bill (Suzy) Borchers; special cousins, the remaining “fab 5”- Amie, Megan and Alex; and other cousins, Michael, Melissa, David, Tracie and Danny.  He was preceded in death by his step-father, Marty Wollschlager; grandparents, Darrell and Delores Reynolds, and Pat and Rosemary Borchers; aunt and uncles, Micheal Ellingson, Donald Borchers and Janet Grady; and cousin, Travis Ellingson.


A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the celebration of life on Friday.
