Patrick Thomas Doyle

OREGON-Patrick Thomas Doyle, age 75, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011. He was born on May 24, 1936, in Highland, the son of Stephen and Mary (McGuire) Doyle. Pat graduated from Highland High School in 1955, where he developed friendships and the joy of athletic competition that lasted his entire life. He married the love of his life, Nancy Davies on Nov. 4, 1961, in Dodgeville. Pat worked at Wisconsin Power & Light Co. for more than 25 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid Badgers, Packers, and Brewers fan, but his loudest cheers were saved for his grandchildren. Pat enjoyed golfing, any outside activity, and the many years as coach of little league and softball teams. His greatest joy was creating memories and sharing laughter with family and friends. Patrick is survived by his wife, Nancy of Lancaster; two children, Daniel (Karen) of Sun Prairie, and Sandy (Jeff) Smith of Valencia, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Delaney and Shanahan Doyle, Alex, Christopher, and Nathan Smith; and Benjamin and Donovan McMullan; siblings, Eileen Penasa, Ken Doyle, Ruth (David) McNeill, John Doyle, Alice (James) Franzen, and Judy (James) Meyers; and many other family members and friends, who have always held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joyce Fecht; sisters-in-law, Ann Doyle and Kathy Doyle; and brothers-in-law, Earl Fecht and Peter Penasa. Funeral services will be held at CALVARY CHAPEL MADISON, 4702 E. Broadway, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, with Pastor Jeff Solwold presiding. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service. Burial will be at Eastside Cemetery, Dodgeville, at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m until 8 p.m., with a Rosary service at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
