Smith, Kristi A. (Voigts) WARRENVILLE, ILL. - Kristi A. (Voigts) Smith, age 55, of Warrenville, Ill., passed away on Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at home. She was born on Dec. 8, 1950, in Madison, a daughter of Carlton and Naomi (Bambrough) Voigts. Kristi graduated from Northern Illinois University (NIU), earning a B.S. in accounting and then became a certified public accountant. She recently held the position of the controller at Thornel Associates Inc., Lisle, Ill., was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel, Glen Ellyn, Ill., and was a life long avid gardener. She is survived by two sisters, Karla Herron of Madison, and Susie (Steve) Krebs of Lakeville, Minn.; a brother, Paul (Judy) Voigts of Madison; and nieces and nephews, Rusty Herron, Briar Herron, Angel Krebs, and Bethany Krebs. Kristi was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held at MESSIAH EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, at noon on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel presiding. Burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund to be established at a later date. Kristis love for her family and friends, her kind and gracious ways and exceeding generosity, were a testament to the wonderful person she was and how she gave her life to benefit others.
