Kaschub, George M. "Butch" Jr. MADISON - George M. "Butch" Kaschub Jr., age 52, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He inspired everyone around him with his positive attitude and great sense of humor. Butch was born on Dec. 1, 1953, in Columbus, the son of George Sr. and Mary Kaschub. He was united in marriage to Winnie Krantz on May 29, 1976, in Pine Bluff. Butch worked for several companies in the HVAC industry, owned and operated Heartland Temperature Services, Inc., and was currently a project manager for EEI Inc. His passion was his work and his family. He devoted his heart and soul to his work and to being an incredible husband, father, and grandfather. Even in his last days, his granddaughters still brought a smile to his face. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Winnie; three children, Kristin (Andy) Deininger of Raleigh, N.C., Katie Kaschub of Gainesville, Fla., and Cory Kaschub of Madison; two granddaughters, Mikaela and Ella Deininger; siblings, Gayle (Mitch) Hanson and Gary (Linda) Kaschub; his in-laws, Ray and Florence Krantz; three sisters-in-law, Shirley (Donnie) Statz, Jan Legler, and Elaine (Tom) Walstad; two brothers-in-law, Ron (Lois) Krantz and Joe (Pat) Krantz; many nieces, nephews, other family members; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Ron Legler; and two nephews, Michael and Matthew Krantz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., on Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
