Dale D. McConkey Jr.

McConkey, Dale D. Jr. MADISON - Dale D. McConkey Jr., age 55, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at his Door County residence. He was born on Oct. 30, 1951, in Tampa, Fla., the son of Dale D. and Eleanor Ann (Intoccia) McConkey Sr. Dale graduated from Ohio University and spent many years in law enforcement. His many interests included music, reading, traveling and photography. The time he spent in the outdoors and with family were his most cherished. Dale is survived by his mother, Eleanor McConkey; a sister, Lori Knippel; brothers, Dean and Todd (Lisa) McConkey; nieces and nephews, Kelly, Kristin and Eric Knippel, Zane and Alex McConkey; a great-nephew, Riley Deininger; and many special cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale D. McConkey Sr. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
