Holland, Lenny M. OREGON - Lenny M. Holland, age 45, of Oregon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at his home. He was born on Feb. 22, 1961, in Minocqua, to Robert J. and Dorothy Holland. Lenny married Patti Maye on July 11, 1987, in Cross Plains. He was a professional tree trimmer. Lenny was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He loved all animals. Lenny bred and trained Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. He was a quiet friend to all and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Lenny was a loving husband, son, brother and uncle. He was also kind and genuine. Lenny recently was providing therapy work with his dogs in nursing homes. He is survived by his wife, Patti Maye; brothers, Don (Doreen) Holland, Bob (Laura) Holland and Tim Holland; sisters-in-law, Cathy Nicolette, Molly (Bryan) Brewer, Jeanne (David) Gabriel, Kathleen (John) Sailer, Monica Maye and Bridget (Ross) Levin; brother-in-law, John Maye; nieces, Tina Chancellor and Carey Holland; an aunt, Eleanor (Leo) Owczarzak; other relatives and many friends; and his dogs and companions, Rainey, Sybil, Finn and Willow. Lenny was preceded in death by a sister, Laurette Green; his grandparents, Leo and Nellie Holland and Frank and Marie Sichman; and a sister-in-law, Pamela Maye. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at noon on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, with Father Bill Connell presiding. A gathering of Lennys family and friends will be held at LUSSIER FAMILY HERITAGE CENTER, 3101 Lake Farm Road, Madison, immediately following the Mass. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Chesapeake Retrievers Club. Lenny will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
