Obituary

Schultz, Judy H. MADISON - Judy H. Schultz, age 85, passed away after suffering a massive heart attack in her sleep on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007. She was born on March 10, 1921, in Spooner, Minn., the daughter of Henry and Julia Burke. Judy married Bernard "Bunny" Schultz on Jan. 13, 1941. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and one who needed very little but gave so very much of herself. Judy was a designer of dollhouses and furniture, a creator of one of a kind sugar cookies and an avid fan of auctions, bingo and slot machines. She enjoyed the coming of each spring, with the arrival of new flowers, Easter egg hunts and the melting of the winter snow. Judy is survived by her son, Sargent (Barb) Schultz; two daughters, Kathi (Jerry) Meysembourg and Julie (Jeff) Schultz-Nieses; seven grandchildren, Tamara (Bill) Hoffman, Kim (Jace) Jontz, Emily (Sterling) McLeester, Joy and Nikki Meysembourg, Core (AnnMarie) Schultz and Nicky (Zoran) Micmic; nine great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Burke; a sister, Dotty Lemke; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bunny in April 2006; a brother, Roy; and a sister, Val. Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, with the Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel presiding. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Oakwood Foundation or an Alzheimers foundation of your choice.
