Eva M. (Ellis Rowe) Lynch

Lynch, Eva M. (Ellis Rowe) MADISON/ DODGEVILLE - Eva M. (Ellis Rowe) Lynch, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007. She was born in Grant County on Nov. 13, 1914, the daughter of Orrin and Sylvia (Thompson) Ellis. Eva graduated from Muscoda High School and the Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing. Eva served her country in the U.S. Naval Nurse Corps for nearly six-and-one-half years in the United States and Guam. She worked as a nurse for Dodgeville General Hospital, St. Josephs Hospital in Dodgeville and also in Darlington Hospital until after the death of her first husband. After attending the University of Wisconsin, she worked in several nursing homes in the Madison area. Eva volunteered as an outreach worker for nursing homes in her retirement. Eva is survived by a sister, Doris Ellis; a dear friend and caregiver, Becky Bjorge; and her family; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ervan Rowe; and her husband, Donald Lynch; her brother, Riley Ellis; and a special friend, Teddy Pitzer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at 6 p.m. at ARBOR COVENANT CHURCH, 2509 McDivitt Road. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at LULLOFF-PETERSON-HOUCK FUNERAL HOME, 126 Diagonal St., Dodgeville. Burial will follow visitation on Saturday at the Linden Cemetery in Linden, where military rites will be conducted.
