Hovde, Esther Pierstorff MADISON - Esther Pierstorff Hovde, age 90, of Madison, died at her home on Sunday Jan. 14, 2007. She was born on Sept. 1, 1916, in the Town of Burke to Olaf and Goldie Frydenlund. Esthers parents were charter members of Bethany Evangelical Free Church where Esther was an active lifelong member, serving in the string band, ladies aide, choir, AWANA, white cross, and Sunday night bible study. She worked for Ohio Medical for many years, retiring in 1978. Esther was very active in her familys lives including her much loved dogs Cindy and Casey She is survived by two sisters, Anna Bandelin and Betty Geier; brother-in-law, Paul Pierstorff all of Madison; many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Esther was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Pierstorff in 1976 and Ingvald Hovde in 1995; her brother, Ingeman Frydenlund; and her sisters, Martha Frydenlund and Ruth Brown. Funeral services will be held at BETHANY EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 312 Riverside Drive at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, with the Rev. David Carlson presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, and at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
