Lenora M. Grigano

Grignano, Lenora M. MONONA - Lenora M. "Nora" (Kessenich) Grignano, age 88, passed away unexpectedly, following heart surgery on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born on Oct. 13, 1918. Lenora worked at Oscar Mayer for 37 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Monona, and was a greeter and Eucharistic minister. Lenora volunteered at St. Marys Hospital and VA Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards, especially euchre, and spending time with Lucky, her faithful four legged friend. Lenora is survived by her daughter, Jackie Frisch; a niece, Lynn Spencer and sons; a nephew, Ed (JoAnn) Kessenich and family of Columbus; longtime friend, Dolores Coyle and her family; three sisters-in-law, Mary Jorstad, Mary Grignano and Helen Kessenich; and a brother-in-law, Harold Poast. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Grignano; her parents, Ed and Gertie Kessenich; two brothers, Werner Kessenich and Norman "Pete" Kessenich; a nephew, Bill Kessenich; and stepfather, John Corcoran. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made in her name to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
