Christopher Jacob Wallendahl

Wallendal, Christopher Jacob POYNETTE/ MADISON - Christopher Jacob "Chris" Wallendal, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, from a cranial aneurysm. He was an organ donor and his gift will live on in others. He was born on Oct. 5, 1973, in Tamuning, Guam, the son of Sam and Joanne (Parkinson) Wallendal. Chris graduated from La Follette High School in 1992 and received a bachelors degree from Herzing College. With his degree he worked for a variety of businesses with CAD. At the time of his death, he worked in Quality Assurance for Sitel in Madison. Chris also worked at Frabonis Deli, Monona, for many years prior to that. In younger years, Chris was active with the Cub Scouts and the Civil Air Patrol. Chris loved the fine arts. He was involved with drama and band in high school. His love for music continued with his involvement with the hand bell choir at Lake Edge Lutheran Church. Chris enjoyed Roller Derby bouts and was an avid supporter and kept the stats for the Mad Rollin Dolls. He is survived by his parents, Sam and Joanne Wallendal; brothers, Gregory (Rebecca) of Beloit and Peter of Madison; maternal grandmother, Martha Parkinson of Racine; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; especially housemates, Adam Coleman, Liz Walker and Bill Radcliffe. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. at LAKE EDGE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4032 Monona Drive, Madison. Visitation will be that morning from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Edge Lutheran Church Hand Bell Choir or to Lake Edge Lutheran Church earmarked to go to their sister church in Cristo Rey, El Salvador or to Mad Rollin Dolls, 7203 Midtown Road, No. 305, Madison, WI 53719. To remember Chris and pay tribute to his memory, the Mad Rollin Dolls are dedicating the roller derby bout on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Fast Forward roller rink to Chris.
