Larson, Dorothy MADISON - Dorothy Watts Larson, age 88, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 2, 2007, surrounded by family after a long and fulfilling life. She was born on Feb. 17, 1919, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of E.C. and Olive May (Fay) Watts. Dorothy was united in marriage to Nedwin Ford Larson in January 1947. He preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church of Middleton. Dorothys greatest joy in life was her family and spending special moments with her grandchildren. She was a former Senior Olympic participant and fan who enjoyed watching and participating in all sports, never missing any of her grandchildrens activities. Dorothy is survived by her children, "Chick" (Karen) Larson and Patty (Mike) Schott, all of Middleton; seven grandchildren, Michael (Angie) Larson, Randy (fiancee, Laurie Kempfer) Larson, Pamela (special friend, Andy Vanko) Larson, Kristopher Larson, Jeffrey (Avrie) Schott, Julie (David) Judeika and Jennifer (special friend, Nate Otterson) Schott; two great-grandchildren, Eden and Chloe Larson and her soon-to-be born great-grandchild due in August. She is further survived by three brothers, Jack (Betty) Watts, Joe (Joan) Watts and Dick (Alice) Watts; and two sisters, Mickey Nelson and Barbara Ploetz. In addition to her husband, Nedwin Larson, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jim Watts; and brothers-in-law, Burt Nelson and Charlie Ploetz. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at ST. BERNARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2007, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Marys Hospital, 707 S. Mills St., Madison, WI 53715. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of St. Marys Hospital for their tender and loving care.
