Brown, Margaret Ilene "Peggy" Downs MADISON - Margaret Ilene "Peggy" Downs Brown, age 55, of Madison, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007, at her home. She was born on Sept. 5, 1951, in Madison, the daughter of Michael and Effie Downs. Peggy graduated from Madison LaFollette High School in 1969. She was united in marriage to Ronald M. Brown on Aug. 8, 1996. Peggy enjoyed reading, watching movies and anything Irish. She visited Ireland twice and looked up her relatives. Illness had prevented her from working. Peggy is survived by her sisters, Carol Leckie, Patricia Gavin, Catherine Downs and Connie (Keith) Drusen; a brother, Michael J. (Maryann) Downs III; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Bessel and Mrs. Lois Bessel; and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Walter "Bud" and Charles; and her husband. A memorial service will be held at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison, at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007. Visitation will be at the church from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
