Tyler A. Burcalow

Burcalow, Tyler A. Middletonâ?¬??Tyler Burcalow, age 22, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born on January 30, 1985, in Middleton, Wisconsin, the son of Larry and Karen Burcalow. He graduated from Middleton High School (Class of 2003) and was currently entering his senior year at Edgewood College in Madison. Tyler was an exceptional athlete and natural leader. He excelled in sports, especially soccer, as both player and mentor to his teammates during his many years with the Yahara Soccer Club. Tyler enjoyed working in the family business, spending time with his friends and family and playing with his nieces every chance he could get. His love for the outdoors often found him at his familys home in Montana, filling his days with hiking, fishing, skiing, hunting, horseback-riding and enjoying the spirit of the world around him. He was a young man of good character, never allowing pride to master his personality, never judging others, helping when it was needed, humble about his many talents and accomplishments. Tyler was a loving son, brother and uncle; a loyal friend; a tremendous gift to all who had the privilege of knowing him. We honor his memory and cherish his spirit. He is survived by his mother and father, Larry and Karen; one brother, Paul (Becky) Burcalow; one sister Renee (Patrick) Kelly; two loving nieces, Clare Burcalow and Lauren Kelly; aunts Vicki (Kent) Johnson and Linda (Dave) Bakken; cousins Brent and Kirby Bakken, Mindy McGuire and Shelly Johnstone; very close friend and companion Tanya Brey, and many loving family members and friends. Tylers life was celebrated in a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Tyler A. Burcalow Charitable Foundation.
