Gammon, David E. Jr. "Rasta" MCFARLAND - David E. "Rasta" Gammon Jr., age 49, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. He was born on Feb. 11, 1958, in Sterling, Ill., the son of David and Susan (Deets) Gammon. David had been employed as a mechanic for Zimbrick Buick for more than 20 years. He was an avid sports fan with a variety of interests including shooting pool, throwing horseshoes, and loved motocross and NASCAR racing. Because of his passion for Reggae music, he was called "Rasta" by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, David and Susan Gammon, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Nick) Donovan, and their soon to be born child; three brothers, Don (Bridget) Gammon, Joe Gammon and Tim (Cindy) Gammon; a sister, Julie (Dan) Novak; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends. David was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison on Sunday, July 15, 2007. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
