Lubcke, Janet Louise MIDDLETON - Janet Louise (Rowley) Lubcke passed away on Monday, Aug. 9, 2007. She was born July 6, 1911, in Middleton. She was a descendant of a pioneer family of physicians. Her father was the third generation of physicians in Middleton covering a span of 100 years. Janet was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. A. Gilbert Rowley of Middleton. She was a lifelong resident of Middleton and a graduate of Middleton High School and of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her degree from the School of Music in 1936. She taught in the Middleton and the Oconomowoc public schools. She was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Middleton and the Middleton Historical Society. In 1941, she married Charles C. Lubcke, a practicing attorney with the State of Wisconsin, who preceded her in death in 1996. Her sister, Jessica (Rowley) Keister Robbins, also preceded her in death. Janet is survived by a son, Gilbert C. (Alana) Lubcke; two grandchildren, Andrea (Peter) Keck and Nicole (Timothy) Welsch; and by three great-grandchildren, Morgan and Alex Keck and Lauren Welsch. Internment will be in the Middleton Junction Cemetery with private graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Middleton Historical Society.
