Jane M. Stadler (Grinde)

Stadler, Jane M. (Grinde) MADISON - Jane M. (Grinde) Stadler, age 75, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, from complications of pulmonary disease. She was born on June 6, 1932, in Morrisonville, the daughter of Theodore and Nina (Mathison) Grinde. Jane retired as a social worker for the State of Wisconsin-Department of Corrections, after 25 years. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Monona. Jane loved traveling, playing cards, cooking and collecting cookbooks. Jane is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Dave) Zirbel of Madison; her beloved granddaughter, Jessica Mecham of Madison; her siblings, Elaine Hass of Kansas City, Mo., Shirley Hliaras of Waynesville, Ohio, Dick (Anita) Grinde of Waunakee and Karen Lewis of Madison; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Harris Grinde. Funeral services will be held at ST. STEPHENs LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5700 Pheasant Hill Rd., Monona, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, with the Rev. Twink Jan-McMahon presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the great nursing staff at Oak Park Place and the staff at Hospice, for the care they gave Jane.
