Dick and Marv Anderson then opened a General Motors dealership, Anderson-McGinley, in Stoughton, retiring in 1988. Dick enjoyed traveling, especially to Sanibel Island, Fla., with Donna and her sister, Clare, where they formed many special friendships with couples from around the country. Dick and Donna also enjoyed traveling with good companions, Dorothy and Bill Jerred. He enjoyed yard work, keeping his yard looking nice and spending time in the sun. Dick was well loved at Tobys Supper Club and looked forward to their good food and camaraderie. He was a true family man and hard worker, who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna McGinley; children, Kathy (Marty) Ottem, Laurie (Jim Mitchell) Kaioula and Thomas (Dawn) McGinley; grandchildren, Chris, Jenny, Michelle, David, Matthew, Susan, Jessica and Patrick; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Tyler, Ella Baby, Skyler, Sean and Caleb; brothers, Robert (Jan) McGinley and Joseph (Bobbi) McGinley; a sister, Pamela Duncan; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Robert and Gary; siblings, Bernard McGinley, Mary Saboe and Donald McGinley; and special sister-in-law, Clare Gorman. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., Bethel Lutheran Church or Alzheimers Association. Dick was blessed to have Norm and Joanne Kuehni in his life, who spent time with him weekly in the last year and a half. A very special thanks to Tate and Karen at Reynolds Assisted Living for their loving care and devotion to Dick. The family also extends a special thanks to everyone at HospiceCare. Death ends a life, not a relationship.
