Marlene Stirgman

Stiegman, Marlene Y. MADISON - Marlene Y. Stiegman, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007. She was born on May 31, 1939, in Marshall, the daughter of Howard and Irene (Reagles) Turner. Marlene was united in marriage to Gerald Stiegman on April 14, 1962, in Madison. She liked cooking for her family and trying new recipes. Marlene enjoyed sewing, embroidering and her pets. She was very involved with her grandchildrens activities and loved spending time with her family. Marlene is survived by her two children, Valerie (Greg) Houthuizen and Curtis (Kim); and two grandchildren, Justin and Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and grandparents, Ida and Francis Turner. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday. For many years you cared for us. Guiding us through our younger years, caring for us. Later when it was our turn to care for you we did so with open arms. It was our time to take care of you. In reality, you never stopped taking care of us. Your courage and inspiration we will cherish forever.
