James Roy Barnes Sr.

Barnes, James Roy Sr. MADISON/NORTH FREEDOM - James Roy Barnes Sr., age 77, died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, after a long illness. He worked for 13 years at Joe Daniels Construction as a low-boy driver. James is survived by his wife, Diane McCall of North Freedom; four sons, James R. (Andrea) Barnes Jr. and precious granddaughter, Kaeli of Lynden Station, Sterling (Rachel) Barnes and Raymond (Nancy) Barnes, both of New York, and James Earl (Iris) Barnes of Colorado; a daughter, Debbie (Kevin) Barnes of New York; a sister, Virginia Bergt of Texas; three brothers-in-law, Albert Coppens of Arkansas, William Coppens of Madison, and Donald Coppens of California; sister-in-law, Belinda (Dennis) Spoerle of Madison; mother-in-law, Rosemary McCall (long-time friend Albert Daniels); and many other grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
