Wanless, William E. "Bill" MADISON - William E. "Bill" Wanless, age 44, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, of lung cancer. He was born on July 15, 1963, in Madison, the son of Gene and Shirley (Zuelsdorf) Wanless. Bill was united in marriage to Lisa Luxton on April 17, 1993, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He worked as a welder for LaForce. Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, cooking and baking. He loved the time spent with family and friends and was a friend to all who met him. He is survived by his wife, Lisa of Madison; parents, Gene and Shirley of Lone Rock; two brothers, David of Neenah and Tim (Tammy) of Orlando, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Marty, Jennifer, Stephanie, Angie, Justin, Savannah and Jane; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary Jane and John Luxton of Madison; grandmother, Claire Luxton of Richland Center; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Greg) Bleck of Monona, Julie Hurtig of Lake Mills and Shawn Luxton of Madison; and brother-in-law, John (Chris) Luxton Jr. of Monticello. He is also survived by his canine and feline kids, Casey, Patrick and Keepers. He was preceded in death by his dogs, Pudgy and Murphy. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Monona at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lung Cancer Research. Thank you to Dr. David Hei and Dr. Mehta for their compassion, support, friendship and to Nina, Sue and all other staff at the Oncology Clinic for all of their wonderful care. Also, thank you to family and friends, we never could have gotten through this without all of you.

Lisa, Thinking about you today. I just saw Bill Monday night walking in to UW hospital and when I returned to work Thursday,Dr. Hei had told me what happened. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and remember you can always stop by and talk or call if you need to, Take Care. Nina
