Gloria M. Lehman (Vogel)

Lehman, Gloria M. (Vogel) MADISON - Gloria M. (Vogel) Lehman, age 56, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at HospiceCare, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Sept. 16, 1951, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Rueben and Loretta Vogel. Gloria graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1969 and UW-Whitewater in 1973. She was united in marriage to Bill Lehman on Sept. 29, 1973. He preceded her in death in 2003. Gloria worked at UW-Madison for many years, most recently in the Bursars Office. She loved to travel, collect fine art, reading and belonging to a book club. Gloria is survived by her mother, Loretta; sister, Nadine (John Granacker) Becker, all of Sheboygan; brother, Jeff (Kathy) Vogel of Plymouth; nephews, Riley Vogel of LaCrosse, Michael Lehman of Mayville and John Bauer of Mayville; nieces, Hannah Vogel of Plymouth, Susan Geoffrey of Middleton, Sarah Kolb of Horicon and Judy Bauer of Mayville; brother-in-law, Paul Lehman and sister-in-law, Anne (Don) Bauer, all of Mayville; and very good friend, Cathy Starkey. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father; brother, Duane Vogel; and a niece, Sarah Anne Vogel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at noon on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
