Lucille Anna Conway (Peetz)

Conway, Lucille Anna (Peetz) MADISON Lucille Anna (Peetz) Conway, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007. She was born in the town of Sumpter, Sauk County, on April 29, 1920, the oldest of four children of Eldon and Frances (Pieper) Peetz. Lucille grew up on a farm during the depression, near the Meyer farm entrance to Baxter Hollow in Sauk County. She married John H. Conway on Oct. 27, 1945. They had four children, Anne, Henry, David and Colleen. They raised their family on the East Side of Madison. Lucille enjoyed baking, hunting, gardening, crocheting, camping, car rides and her poodle, Pierre. Her children and grandchildren were the joys of her life. Lucille is survived by her children, Anne Breed of Stockton, Ill., David (Kristine) Conway of Portage, and Colleen (Larry) McQueen of Mauston; six grandchildren, Daniel (Janet) Breed of St. John, Ind., Lisa (Doug) Ireton of Rock City, Ill., Jonathan and Brenda Conway, both of Portage, and Aaron and Lacy McQueen, both of Mauston; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; son, Henry; a great-granddaughter, Chloe McQueen; and two sisters, Lorna Louise Peetz and LaVon "Bonnie" Lily (Peetz) Keehn. Visitation will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
