Tisdale, Edward P. "J.D. Barber" MIDDLETON Edward P. Tisdale, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007. He was born on Nov. 25, 1942, in Kewanee, Ill., the son of Edward J. and Darlene (Stoleson) Tisdale. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966. Edward married Ruth Hocking on Nov. 3, 1966, in Rising Sun. He was a radio announcer known as "J.D. Barber" for over 20 years with Z104, Q106, and recently WJVL. Edward had a variety of interests including music and fishing, but mostly loved the time spent with his grandchildren and family. Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of 41 years; two daughters, Tamara (Michael) Berry and Jennifer (Ken) Tisdale; two grandchildren, Cailyn Hanson and Tyler Tisdale; a brother, David Tisdale; a sister, Judy (Dan) Smith; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. There will be a visitation on Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Ed was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. We are so very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. No one has ever had a bigger impact on my life than he did. He was a kind and unselfish man with a great sense of humor who was loved by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

I am so sorry to get the news of Sonny's death. A friend of mine from Richland Center sent me the clipping from the paper. I tried to contact you thru the funeral home. I sent my phone # to them .
