My thoughts go out to the entire Nolten family. Dr. Nolten was my mother's endocrinologist for 25+ years and mine for at least 15 years. I never minded waiting at the clinic for my scheduled appointment time because I knew that he would spend as much time as necessary with me -- just as he did for each of his patients. If every practicing physician would take 1/10th of his clinic manner and comapassion, the medical field would be 1 million times better. Each appointment ended with 'God willing, I will see you next year.' God willing... we will meet again.
