Mike Koltes

Koltes, Mike MADISON - Mike Koltes, age 62, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at his home. He was born on Dec. 28, 1945, the son of George and Dorothy Koltes. Mike worked with his dad George at the Big K Beer Distributions from 1965 until 1972; it was a family owned distributor. He started working for the Union Laborers local 464 in 1974 and retired in 2004. Mike liked history and enjoyed watching the history channel. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley. Mike always talked about how proud he was of his son Todd being an airplane pilot. He is survived by his son, Todd (Lisa) Koltes of Georgia; a daughter, Stacy (Lonny Linberg) Koltes-Linberg; grandsons, Taylor Koltes, Michael and Landon Linberg, all of Madison; brothers, Dick (Marge) Keegan of Madison, Topper Koltes of Madison, and Kim Koltes of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Kretia Schleg and Diane Tracy. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, on Friday, March 7, 2008, at 6 p.m. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
