Jim L. Lehnherr

Lehnherr Jim L. OREGON Jim L. Lehnherr, age 71, of Oregon, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. He was born on April 7, 1936, in Marshfield, the son of Rudy and Dorothy Lehnherr. Jim graduated from Verona High School in 1954. He married Rose Neumann on June 8, 1957, in Fox Lake. Jim worked for Ohio Casualty Insurance Co. for 29 years, retiring on April 1, 1998. He enjoyed fruit and vegetable gardening, especially strawberries, selling his produce at various farmers markets. After retirement, Jim took up woodworking and enjoyed volunteering in the kitchen at HospiceCare. Jim is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, Kurt and Craig (Joanne) and their children, Zachary and Kara; and a daughter, Lori; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Lehnherr and Ruth Schrank; a foster sister, Ruth Duval; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Neumann. A memorial service will be held at ST. JOHNS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood, Oregon, on Monday, March 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be with his brother, Don, in Mount Vernon at a later date.
